Parish Council
The Council supports the community of the parish in a number of areas:
- Attendance at meetings with other bodies that affect the Parish.
- Planning.
- Playing Fields.
- Footpaths.
- Parish Finance.
- Management of Wheal Maid Valley.
- Dealing with correspondence affecting the Parish.
- Mineral Tramways.
- Historic Churchyards.
The council is usually made up of seven parish councillors and a clerk. The current councillors and clerk are:

- Cllr Richard Snell
- Cllr Donna Squibb
- Cllr Mike Padmore
- Cllr Phillip Roscorla
- Cllr Lee Barton
- Mr Alan Blamey - Clerk

The council meets at least once a month usually on the last Thursday of the month. Meeting dates are posted on the home page of this website.
Each month the Chairman of the Parish Council writes a report with details about the meeting. This report is published on the Chairman's Report page of this site, and also in the Truro and Redruth editions of the West Briton.
